2019 November - "BFCM" - Our View - Food for Thought
Two Rants in succession! Wow! Holi Boli has decided not to take part in the "Black Friday Cyber Monday" consumerism pandemic. In this blog we try to succinctly discover what BFCM is and why Holi Boli feels it cannot take part. No judgement on anyone who is involved in BFCM it is simply our view on it offered as "Food for Thought"!
Back to Work! The summer has finished and Holi Boli is back into full swing. Special thanks to those who helped us purchase some ACs. Ana had some amazing meetings in New Zealand and meet some amazing people. We all feel excited by the new branding and encouraged to get into work again.
Another awesome class of graduates from the Holi Boli Sewing Centre. We teach stitching, pattern making and designing to students. Most of them take these new skills and get work. We even get to hire a few of them at Holi Boli for our clothing manufacture side.
Graduates of December 2018
The course runs for 4 months. The students learn the very basics such as cutting with scissors and threading...

It was really awesome to have some very very qualified nurses (holding masters degrees and many years experience) come and visit us at Holi Boli from New Zealand. We all took turns to have a medical check up. We all had our Blood Pressures done and number of other tests. We answered a lot of questions. Fortunately, we are all pretty healthy. Our results are all on file for the next check up and we...
2018 July - What have CHICKEN EGGS got to do with it?
Ethical and sustainable are buzzy words at the moment. It seems that many people like the idea of buying ethical and sustainable. Fair trade is an important brand these days. Many of us want to know that we are not harming our planet or the life on the planet with the purchases we make. In my last blogI wrote about the important part we play as consumers and the role that business has in...
Back to work - YES! Love all these beautiful fabrics
We all have arrived back at Holi Boli after a hot summer ready to work. It is still too hot but the rainy season is starting. The beginning of the monsoons makes life muggy as the rain initially adds wet to the hot. However, the rain promises cooler days ahead so it seems to lift everyone's spirits. We are already down to 40 deg C / 104 deg F...
