Holi Boli’s Thankfulness Journal was an uplifting team project birthed as our first creative Covid-19 response when we all found ourselves in lockdown in 2020. Couriers, trains and planes stopped, evaporating our global distribution channels. We needed to create a new way to generate cashflow in order to keep paying our seamstresses while they were ‘staying home, staying safe’ (and our dresses/stock were also in lockdown).
From their homes, the Holi Boli seamstresses sent in their quotes to go into the journal, saying what they felt grateful for. They said the Thankfulness Journal project helped them to feel more positive and remain feeling connected to their Holi Boli Sisterhood network.
